Based in Stevenage in Hertfordshire, Design and Technology Services Ltd provide Health and Safety Inspections, Maintenance and Repair services to Schools and Colleges Nationwide. 

Within Hertfordshire we presently undertake Inspections in almost every Lea and Academy Secondary Schools as well as over 500 other schools nationwide with new schools contacting us daily.

We were delighted to have been co-opted to the Technical Committee of the British Standards Institution, where we re-drafted BS4163 in 2014 and we were invited again in April 2021 to re-draft BS4163 2021.

Set up in January 2009 the company has over 70 years combined experience in Annual Health and Safety Inspections, Reporting and Maintaining Design and Technology workshop machinery. 

Inspections and Maintenance to Science, Food Technology and Art, together with COSHH Inspections and reports to LEV plant, Woodust, Acrylics, Heat Fume and Science Fume Cupboards. 

Our aim is to provide all of the services schools need to fulfil their Statutory Requirements to inspect, maintain and repair the equipment with these areas at best value cost.

Design and Technology Services Ltd are also Approved Electrical Contractors and Gas Safe registered Plumbing and Gas Engineers.

The Company is formed entirely of ex Hertfordshire County Council Staff, each with specific skills in the relevant building services discipline, together we form a team of professionals dedicated to providing a service that quite simply cannot be beaten.
